Next Game

Guys, the next Upward Basketball game is this Saturday at 10:15 vs the Cougars. As experienced last time, better get there early so you won't miss the great intro.

We hid our first cache last weekend on Sunday afternoon. I submitted the coordinates Sunday night and by 12 noon on MLK day we had three people to log in that they had found it! The FTF (First To Find for all you non-geocachers) guy said in his log that he found it while it was still dark! Some of these guys are just plain nuts. But it will be interesting to see who finds it and where they come from. W has already asked to go caching this weekend. Hope the weather holds out.

See you at the game,

B

Upward Basketball and Geocaching

This Saturday Upward Basketball began and the Panthers had a great game. It started off with some rousing music and the players were introduced one by one, with the cheerleaders forming a lane for them to run onto the court. The Panthers have enough players to sub 5 at a time, each set gets to play 6 minutes. At the end of the game each get a star to iron onto their shirt, with each star representing: most Christlike player, best effort, best defensive player and best offensive player. This time W got the best effort star.

Then after lunch a nice day of playing at the park and finding a couple on new geocaches. This is the first one we found. They both got game watches, where you try to get the small ball into the hole. The next challenge will be for us to hide our own geocache. So any small unique item you can give us, we'll add it to the cache.
