White Sox vs Panthers

What a game! The score was close all innings with each team going ahead with each at bat. It culminated at the bottom of the 4th (the last inning), White Sox had the last bat, needing only 2 runs to clinch the win. W was up as lead off batter. After a short grounder to the pitcher and a close call at first, W was called out. Through the next batters we only managed 1 run. It came down to our last batter, the bases were loaded, all the Panthers had to do was to field the ball and touch homeplate before the runner on third scored. Our batter belted a solid hit to the second baseman, which allowed plenty of time for us to score the winning run.

W was 1 for 4 with a single and (what I think a controversial) out at first. W had a nice play in the outfield holding the hitter to first with a nice scoop and run, calling time at second.

White Sox Win another

Tonight everyone was hitting. W was 4 for 4, he started off with a triple and followed it up with 3 singles. He scored each time and he actually scored the last run to finish the game with the "Math Rule" essentially the 10 run rule. W scored to make it 17 to 6.
Of course the highlight for the kids was the snack and the persistence to finish the soccer game they had started before the baseball game. This brings their record to 2 and 1.

White Sox won 12 to 10. It came down to the last inning.
3 runs were scored in the last inning to come from behind to win the game.

W was 2 for 4 today as lead off batter.

K's new equipment for the next game will include ear plugs that shield out the profanities of our cheering parents.

The uniform finally made it

Opening Day this Saturday!

W has Opening Day this Saturday the 17th at 9:00 am. His game starts at 12 noon.
To my understanding there should be inflatables, different activities and food available.

Spent the day at a local garden park.

K's new low rise pants are no joke. Pics to explicit for posting.

Let me paint the picture. Your commode is beyond regular repair, so you have to call in professional help. JoeBob bends over to take a look - your head jerks back (similar to Taylor Hicks signature move) due to the uncomfortable and unsightly "Crack." K now has plumber pants.

In Memory of Tabitha

A short time ago we had to lay to rest our beloved Tabitha. She had a mass in her abdomen, which was not identified. This kept her from eating normally and hindered her when she tried to walk up stairs.

We'll miss her.

W has a practice game this Saturday at 1:30.

Opening day is the 17th with a game at 12:00.

Upward Awards Night

Take a good look at the #4 jersey. W decided to donate it to the Venezuelan mission. People from church will be taking them and giving them out at the Upward basketball camps they will be conducting. Maybe I'll see the same #4 on some other kid when I go in July.

At the awards night they had a Christian illusionist, who was really good. For his last act, his wife was locked in cuffs, inside a tied bag, which was inside a locked wooden box and they swaped places in less than a minute. After he locked his wife up, he stood on top of the box and held up this big hoola hoop with a curtain on it, then within a split second his wife is there and he is gone. There were even 2 people from the audience watching from the backside. She then got down and unlocked the box and found him tied up inside the bad with the cuffs on and locked.
