The little one arrives
Well, the call finally came last night around 6:30. After months and months of preparation, training, medical exams, blood work, trying to locate fire escape ladders and being fingerprinted by the police the little foster baby finally made it. We expected a newborn we had all newborn stuff, yet we now have a happy, funny, sitt'n up, big noggin 7 month old.
The kids took to him like a new toy, taking turns holding him and trying to feed him his bottle.
We'll wait to see how the changed family dynamics effect W and K.

Two loose teeth
W went to the dentist today and verified what we thought. Two loose teeth, right up front on the bottom. The left one is the most loose. The dentist gave him a tooth box for the tooth fairy.
K had her first "sticky" tooth, as the dentist called it and what she told me after I came home.

Finally licensed....
We received our license for foster parenting yesterday! Thank you all for all of your prayers and supplies and babysitting!

Another In the Park HOME RUN!
W got another in the park Home Run against the Red Sox in a close 20 to 19 win. This one took extra innings to decide. The White Sox were the guest and typically holding the home team at their last at bat is always difficult. Everyone got a hit during the game and every run was needed. Even though the game was tight, the highlight was watching the video of W and his teammate warm-up in the out field with a pretend ball. If your eyesight was terrible, you probably would not know that they had no ball. The motions of throwing and catching were very realistic. I will look into putting the video up soon.

NCAA Basketball Bracket Winner!!
W filled out the bracket that picked the National Champions and 45 other correct picks. In my office pool that would have been good for a Ben Franklin. W got something better. A night at Chuckie Cheeses!! Here they are showing off their prizes.
Honorable mention: Dad 43 points, Mom 37 points and K 14 points

Home Run!! It's a HOME RUN!
Tonight W came out of the slump. He was 2 for 3 with a double and an inside the park HOME RUN! The home run put the White Sox up 3 in a close third inning. They held the Panthers to only 5 runs in the top of the fourth. The score was 14 to 13 bottom of the last inning with the White Sox up to bat. After 2 good base hits the third batter got a good base hit and an errant throw to third let all 3 base runners score to end the game 16 to 14.
Tomorrow night we have a make-up game against the same Panthers. W was in a 3 game slump when he switched back to his original bat and now is lighting up the ball. If only we had listened to Mom, we never would have bought the shorter, lighter bat and possibly never expierenced the horrible, dreaded slump.
Hopefully we'll have some more pictures next time.
