Living at the Ball Park

If you are trying to find us from February through May and we are not at home, we are probably at the ball park. "Official practice" started this week although W's team has yet to have a full practice with the whole team. They have had some batting practice. W has squeaked in a couple of times to practice with a friend's team. Their first practice game is Monday night at 5:30 - we will see what happens!

Valentine's Day

MORE Valentine treats! This is at the Fancy Nancy party at the library on Valentine's Day. Just the girls went to this while the boys went to the ball park.

Our tradition.... when the girls go shopping at the local mall we have a tried and true girly girl tradition. We shop a little, go to Starbucks, mom gets a coffee and K gets her "special milk". We sit down in the food court and just chat. So much fun!

W came up with the great idea to recycle his broken guitar into a Valentine mail box.

K painted a craft a few weeks ago and decided to use it to collect her Valentine's. There are no plain shoeboxes at this party!

K's favorite part- the sugary snacks. She is so funny. She relishes every bite and goes around her plate taking one bite of everything until she just can't take it anymore.

Ballet Banquet 2009

Here is a picture of K as she poses before her "date" with dad. The annual Father/Daughter ballet banquet is something she has looked forward to for a long time. When we are not all together as a family, we naturally split between boys and girls. This is a great opportunity for B and K to catch up. G and W had a fun time as well. Per W's request, we ordered pizza (veggie for mom and sausage for W) and played Monopoly. Mom won this time!

Baseball Season is here!

Baseball season is here and practices will start up this week. W is excited to move up to the next league, where kids pitch 2 innings and they have machine pitch for 3. The schedule will be up as soon as we get it. This league is pretty much regular baseball rules except for stealing and leading off the bases.

My new position and job is going well. I have quickly grown accustomed to working from home. Its nice to be able to check in on the family during a quick break.

Also if anyone knows anyone who wants a truck let me know. Still trying to sell the Ridgeline.

Back to just the 4 of us!

Things are getting back to normal at our house.  As normal as they ever were with just the 4 of us!  Things are not how we expected they would be a week ago, but that is okay.  We are looking forward to doing some traveling with B on some work trips coming up and getting to know our old friends again that we haven't had much time with in the past 4 months.  We don't know what to do first!  I can almost guarantee that we will be at a park somewhere tomorrow when the weather hits 60 degrees!
