Ballet Recital

K had her ballet recital this weekend. All of the girls were precious! K is ready to move on and is hanging up the ballet slippers for now...soon to lace up the ice skates? Such a cold sport for a mom who hates to be cold!

Art Project

K with Freckles

Great Day

I had no expectations for this day  -except to make sure to get to Publix because we have no milk and my children eat a lot of cereal!  The unscripted days are the best.  We started the day with some math and then moved on to an art project.  I taped up white paper on the fence, doctored a couple of bottles of bubbles with some drops of food coloring and let the kids see what they could create.  Warning - this is VERY messy.  It was quite funny when the kids looked at me with their blue and purple "freckles" from the bubbles popping on their face.

After lunch we went to Oak Mountain and enjoyed the weather until K fell down and scraped her knee.  Then it was time to load up, get some groceries.  Dad grilled some burgers and we are currently crashing and watching a Braves game (and Phineas & Ferb).

Pitching Debut

W had his first shot at pitching in the game tonight.  He struck them out like a pro 1-2-3.....

Our Model

We have one child that runs from the camera and one we can't take enough pictures of.  Can you guess which is which?

Just to prove that W owns other clothes besides a sports uniform....

The Loot...

Okay - thanks Easter Bunny, MaMaw, Nannie Mae and Janny for the sugar buzzed children.  This is what is left - it has been confiscated and locked away in Dad's office.

City Easter Egg Hunt

We took the kids to the city wide Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday - a four year tradition for our family.  Not sure exactly why it is called a "hunt".  It is more like how you would imagine a swarm of locusts descending upon a field and devouring everything in sight in a straight line.  The field behind K in this picture is the football field covered with thousands of plastic eggs stuffed with candy and toys.  It takes about 5 minutes from start to finish for all of the eggs to be collected.

First official game of the season....

W is really happy that the season finally started - after two rain outs in a row. The Rays were victorious over the Yankess 7-1 in Wednesday night's game. He had a great time and can't wait for the next 2 games this week! (Friday 6PM, Saturday 11AM).

Yankees vs. Rays

W's best friend was on the other team.  They both made plays to get each other out.

First Ring Pop of the Season....

K could not wait for that concession stand to be opened!  She had her little zip lock bag ready for the occasion and feasted on a ring pop, nerds rope and cheesy nachos.
